WE ARE IN AWE OF JESUS
Jesus is our Lord, Savior and King, and He is breathtaking. He is the only focus, the only celebrity, and the only big deal. We love Him and His Kingdom, which is way bigger than our little church, because we don’t have a monopoly on Jesus.

WE MAKE THE GOSPEL PROMINENT AND CLEAR
Christianity is not about what we do for God but about what He did for us through the Cross. We love the Gospel of grace which brings glory to God. As our only hope, it is prominent in all we do.

WE ENJOY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, NOT RELIGION
Instead of the counterfeit Christianity of rules, rituals, and religion, we are in a dynamic, personal, joyful, and growing relationship with God. This is not just a Sunday morning thing. Through His Spirit, we’re walking with Him in faith and dependence throughout the week.

WE FEAST ON THE BIBLE
We love the Word of God. We savor it, study it, and apply it to our lives. We are less concerned with the human messenger and more concerned with the divine message. And when culture and scripture conflict, we unapologetically go with God every time.

WE LAUGH AND HAVE FUN
We take God very seriously, but we don’t take ourselves that seriously. We embrace joy, laughter and freedom to a degree that makes stuffy religious folks uncomfortable. We believe that Christianity and fun aren’t mutually exclusive.

WE PUT THE COOKIES ON THE LOW SHELF
We expect our neighbors to stop by. We want the unchurched and de-churched to join us and, hopefully, be drawn toward Jesus. Therefore, we explain things so that people feel welcome not awkward.

WE ARE RAW AND REAL
Because Jesus was not fake or phony, we shouldn’t be either. We are raw, real, authentic, and down-to-earth. Jesus didn’t seem to have a dress code, so we don’t either. We are casual and “come as you are.”

WE DO MESSY
We do messy because, except for Jesus, that’s the only kind of people there are. So, we are a hospital for the hurting, not a country club for the religious elite. Messy people feel welcome here but self-righteous people feel uncomfortable – just like it was around Jesus.

WE EXPECT PROGRESSIVE TRANSFORMATION
God has enough compassion to accept you just the way you are but also enough compassion to not leave you like that. We don’t expect perfection. But, when a repentant rebel is invaded by the Holy Spirit, we expect the Lordship of Jesus to bring progressive transformation, freedom, and growth.

WE REACH OUT
It would be the height of selfishness to keep the Gospel to ourselves. We love the people around us, so we continually reach out to them, wanting them to connect with God as we have. Thus, we aim to grow by transformations, not transfers.

WE GATHER IN SMALL GROUPS TO CARE FOR EACH OTHER
We prioritize and love each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. Therefore, we seek small group fellowship where we can be known, loved, supported, and challenged. We organically take care of each other in these small groups.

WE WORSHIP HARD
God is amazing in his essence, exalted in his character, and gracious in his dealings with us. So, we can’t possibly be stingy in our worship of Him. We worship him hard with expression and emotion, spirit and truth, tears and joy.

WE ARE CONTRIBUTORS, NOT CONSUMERS
God doesn’t exist to serve us; we exist to serve Him. So, we are neither consumers nor spectators. We are committed to his Kingdom and motivated by eternity. We are moved by joy, gratitude, and passion, not duty and guilt. Thus, we are generous givers and active servants. The ministers are in the pews, not just the pulpit.

WE CELEBRATE DIVERSITY
We embrace the beauty and the breadth of the Body of Christ. We want to taste here on earth what it will be like on the New Earth as racism and oppression melt away, differences are celebrated, and love is not fettered by color. While diversity might be constrained by our community’s demographics, we want to move the needle as much as possible, to make all feel at home, and to be agents of reconciliation.

WE ARE CREATIVE AND RELEVANT, NOT BORING
The content of God’s message is ancient, but the container doesn’t have to be. We are creative and culturally relevant because we have the most important message ever, and we refuse to make it boring.

WE GIVE OUR BEST TO GOD
We refuse to pursue excellence in other areas of life while giving God shoddy seconds and hand- me-downs. From the big picture to the smallest details, our service to Him is worship, and our Lord is worth our very best.

WE BARBEQUE SACRED COWS TO FEED EFFECTIVE IMPACT
Being less concerned with doing it like we’ve always done it and more concerned with effective impact for the Kingdom, we barbeque the sacred cows. Instead of simply “playing church,” we are laser-focused on our mission to watch Jesus transform many lives.

WE INSIST ON INTEGRITY
The Church is both beautiful and imperfect. Sadly, the greatest message in history has often been tarnished by a lack of godly character. We strive for integrity throughout our ministry because Jesus values not only what we do, but how and why we do it.
